As a young child, Jason Zentner grew up watching classic horror films such as Frankenstien and Creature From the Black Lagoon, and loved seeing aliens from Star Wars and Star Trek. When he was 8 years old he saw An American Werewolf In London and was fascinated by the transformation scene created by Oscar winning SFX make up artist, Rick Baker.
As he grew older, he fed his fascination for monsters and aliens with more films and books. He began college as an art major, but switched to anthropology after finding being discouraged by art teachers for always creating monsters for his assignments. Towards the end of his college career, he began to dabble in make up, creating Halloween costumes for friends. This renewed his interest in monster making and he began to pursue the arcane rituals of the make up effects artist.
As a self taught artist, learning from books and videos, he began his SFX career in 2010. Now he has worked on several projects in the Texas indie film industry, ranging from music videos to feature films.
